The Loss Of Nature

I’d got to thinking that I was free
And floating nicely through history.
I’ve had a set back. It turns out that I was all wrong.
I’m sorta trapped in this crazy world.
My mind goes further, but can’t unfurl.
My belief there’s so much more is what’s sending me through.

The loss of nature – carry the weight, yeah.

Nobody cares any more about their land.
It used to help us and hold our hand.
We used to dig it, and now it’s just full of our shit.
All those in charge don’t know the score.
We hear them speaking – still go to war.
They gotta go, I’ve had enough, it’s gotta change, we ain’t that tough.

The loss of nature – carry the weight, yeah.

I’m so distracted, I can’t see straight.
You know the feeling “It’s not too late?”
I’m not so sure, man, we’ve pushed it too far, that I know.
To save the planet is now a game
Played out by fools who don’t feel the same.
We got to build us a oneness – A oneness of soul.

The loss of nature – carry the weight, yeah.
The loss of nature – carry the weight, yeah.
